JOURNALIST | FREELANCE | EDITOR | CREATIVE

As a graduate of The University of Georgia with a certification in new media, which is innovative ideas and technologies that allow us to communicate in new ways, and another in music business, I have discovered many interests in the journalism industry. I've written copy for a mobile web app developed in my final semester of my new media courses. I've learned more about the complicated world of the music industry that has given me a unique perspective on journalistic communication.
In the past, I have written for VOX Teen Communications and music discovery website GoRankem. Formerly a contributor for The Jewel Wicker Show, I wrote full-length album reviews as well as reported on Billboard chart news. I’ve also contributed a column and artists features for the Athens Banner-Herald. I worked as a contributing editor for Ugazine, a student lifestyle magazine at UGA. Before then I wrote for the publication. Previously, I've worked as a freelance writer for Techwood Consulting, a digital media agency. Most recently, I've served as an Editorial Intern with Atlanta magazine, fact-checking articles and contributing a few pieces of my own.
I also worked as an Entertainment/News Reporter at Atlanta Black Star, a narrative company. My pieces focused on entertainment, business and culture pertaining to the online publication's target audience.
Most recently, I've worked as a digital content producer at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. I can take complex subjects — such as health studies — and make them understandable to everyday people. My content includes topics focusing on work, family, leisure/hobbies, health, fitness, food and entertainment.
